Fiona the Volatile is a brash warrior maiden is quick with a sword... or axe, or dagger, or any other sharp or pointy thing she can get her hands on. Gerki the Sneak's a shifty halfling whose pockets are always full of Gold. A master of poisons, mechanisms, and stabbing people in the back, Gerki has saved the lives of his friends many, many times. Of course, if he wasn't so darn useful they most likely would have killed him by now! Zot the Wizard might have had a cushy job teaching magic theory at the Wizards' College, had he not been saddled with Pooky, a psychotic, binge drinking bunny rabbit, as his familiar.

In this light strategy game, competitors show their skill based on how high they can pile their molehills, and by how many mountains they control. The mole that can build and control the most mountains out of molehills over 6 rounds will be declared the ‘top tunneler’ and will win the game. The third expansion for Onitama, Light and Shadow offers a new way to explore the elegant and simple game of martial tactics by introducing a new type of pawn: the Ninja! Unlike other pawns, the Ninja moves secretly, hidden from your opponent's view until they are ready to strike...

There are two ways to play Light and Shadow:

• Way of the Shadow is a symmetrical game in which each player deploys their own Ninja.
• Way of the Light is an asymmetrical game that pits one Ninja player against a traditional Onitama Master and Students player.

Onitama is a two-player, perfect information abstract game with a random starting set-up. On a 5x5 board, both players start with five pawns on their side, with the main pawn in the middle.

Each player has two open cards that each display a possible move for any of his pieces. There is a fifth card that cannot be used by either player. On a player's turn, he chooses one of his cards, moves one of his pieces according to the chosen card, then replaces the card he used with the fifth card. The other player then chooses one of his cards, moves accordingly, and exchanges that card with this fifth card - which is, of course, the card the first player just used.

Moving onto one of the opponent's pawns removes that pawn from the game. Taking the opponent's main pawn, or moving your main pawn into your opponent's main pawn's starting space, wins you the game.

2 players. Ages 8+. 10 minute play time

Onitama, Sensei's Path is a card expansion for use with Onitama! Included are 16 unique, new, cards that can be used as a standalone set of Move cards instead of those found in the base game.
