We will be hosting an Omens of the Third Age Pre-Release on Sunday, May 31st at 12:00pm. The format will be Omens of the Third Age Sealed Deck. Each player will get 1 pre-release kit containing 8 booster packs and 1 promo pack with which to build a sealed deck. We will have supplies for up to 24 players.

Sign-in will begin at 12:00pm. If you register in advance, a seat will be reserved for you until 12:15pm, at which point any walk-in may take your seat. Deck building will begin at 12:15pm and round 1 will begin at 12:45pm. Each round will have a timer of 30 minutes, and there will be 3-4 swiss rounds (3 rounds for less than 13 players, 4 rounds for 13+ players). The event is expected to end before 4:00pm.

Each player will receive 8 Omens of the Third Age participation prize packs.

Join us for our eighth Grand Archive Store Championship on Sunday, May 24th! Sign-in for the event will begin at 12pm on the day of the event. If you have not signed in by 12:15pm, your seat may be given to a walk-in. Attendance is capped to 16 players.

The entry fee for the event will be $40 (tax included) and will cover the cost of prize packs for the event. Radiant Origins prize packs will be awarded at a rate of 2 packs per win or bye during the championship.

Each player will receive two stamped Disintegrate foil promos, and the top ranked player at the end of the event will receive one Nullifying Mirror Nationals Qualifier Card, and one Seraphic, Legion’s Descent Store Champion playmat. An invitational card acts as your ticket to entry for higher-tier events such as Nationals. Upon receiving an invitational card, the winner will receive a form that they must sign to receive their prize.

Pictures of the event and the winner receiving the prize card will be taken to send to Weebs of the Shore and for promotional purposes. Players claiming their allocated prizes and invitations are assumed to have agreed to have their photo taken and used for these aforementioned purposes.

The format of the event will be Standard Constructed: Players provide their own minimum 60-card Main Deck, maximum 12-card Material Deck, and maximum 15-point Sideboard (material deck cards count as 3 points each, main deck cards are only 1 point each). Players will play 3 (for 8 or less players) or 4 (for 9+ players) swiss rounds. Rounds will be best of 3, and all rounds of Swiss must be played out. A 60 minute round timer will begin 5 minutes after round pairings are posted. Start of game procedures may be completed after pairings are posted even if the round timer has not begun. Play should begin at the start of the 60 minute timer. If time in the round has expired and the winner of the current game is not yet determined, players have up to 5 minutes to finish the game or play 3 additional turns, whichever comes first. The current turn player will be considered as starting on turn 0, after which 3 additional turns are played in total. If, after 5 minutes or the turn limit, there is no winner, the game is considered a draw the player with the most wins thus far in the match is considered the match winner. If neither player has won more games, the match is a draw.

There will not be an official judge present at the event. Rulings may be made by the tournament organizers as needed to the best of our ability. Those who wish to participate in a Store Championship must meet the following requirements: 1) Have a deck that is legal for the format. 2) Be in good standing. 3) Acknowledge that they are aware of the official rules and are aware of the potential penalties for any infractions done. 4) Agree to accept rulings made by the tournament organizers during the event. 5) Bring a decklist to the event which is legible and fully complete. Card names must be written down in full with the correct spelling and count.

Ebenezer Chummage, once the Royal Navy's sea cook, now haunts the fish slick alleys of Venice. His dirty greying, sea salted mutton chops are braided like old rope, and the stench of offal clings to his brine-crusted apron. He guts and flenses his way through the canals. Senshi was a devoted samurai who lived by the Way of Bushido, mastering 
the Niten Ichi-ryu technique in hopes of surpassing his hero Miyamoto 
Musashi’s dueling record. After reaching thirty-one victories, tragedy struck 
when his lord was mortally wounded in a Tokugawa ambush and his village 
was destroyed, leaving Senshi a grieving Ronin. Consumed by despair, he 
wandered westward seeking an honourable death through combat, but 
none could defeat him. In Venice, he attempted seppuku, but arcane magic 
from a cosmic rift cursed him with undeath. Now, Senshi roams the night, 
hunting deadly foes in a desperate quest for a final, worthy end.

This set contains Senshi the Undying, a gifted stranger from far-off shores. Having wandered westward in search of an honourable death, this Ronin has found himself cursed. The madness of one man can alter a battle in seconds...

Guy Fawkes (clearly not his real name) is infamous for one thing—blowing battleships to smithereens with massive fire ships. His small, eager crew of plastique-happy privateers are backed by a personal deep-space shipyard kitted out for packing ships with explosives and armouring them up enough to survive a one-way charge towards any enemy of any sufficiently flushed benefactor. Fawkes prefers old colony ships as candidates, given their cavernous holds. To their creaking frames, his engineers affix laughably thick frontal armour plates, having freed up mass by tearing out crew quarters, weapons, spares, and anything needed for long-term operations. 

In combat, Fawkes flies his ship-sized munition personally alongside an insanely loyal, or just insane, skeleton crew. They all jump ship in escape pods at the last possible moment, coordinating with a nearby friendly vessel to collect them so they might do it all again another day. He’s currently on Parliament XIII with no indication he might retire for the quiet life among his explosively gotten gains.

The Resistance employs a vast array of home-brewed fire ships, and far more than other forces due to necessity. Frequently, the Resistance faces chronic shortages of true military strike craft, so must improvise. Typically, a common shuttle, such as the C-19 Pony, is stripped, coated in extra armour, fitted with a rear-facing escape pod, and packed with whatever explosives and thin shards of wreckage as can be scavenged. Such creations are crude but devastating when flown right into a starship’s underbelly by a skilled, semi-insane pilot.

Any UCM Admiral who comes in contact with The Hated must destroy the parasite at all costs. It cannot be allowed to exist.  

Thankfully, this vessel’s main weapon is unique to it. The Anharmonic Resonator is marked by two distinctive emanation banks along the ship’s midsection and is one of the most despised weapons any captain might face, hence the moniker given to whatever captain this ship has: The Hated. This individual throws its ship into combat with little regard for personal safely—unfortunate, since the weapon’s effects are limited to close victims.

The Resonator throws pulsing waves of penetrating subatomic particles and exotic radiations into the target, causing a range of unpredictable internal effects, crew deaths, widespread vomiting, and systems failures. Given the necessity of being near the target, Little Chaos is equipped with one of the best stealth suites yet observed on any Scourge vessel. It is speculated that this ship was exceedingly difficult for the enemy to build or is challenging to maintain since they have produced no other known examples despite its horrible effectiveness. There are even suggestions that its entire crew might die of radiation poisoning after an engagement, although the captain’s consistent behaviour suggests that it, at least, fights from a heavily shielded bridge.

When a Shaltari warrior is officially shamed for his comportment in war, he has few routes to redemption. One is to pilot a Shaltari Fireship. While such weapon-craft  could easily be automated by such an advanced race, it seems the aliens deliberately designed these as a combat ritual, the ultimate proof of bravery. The Shaltari pilots the craft, packed with volatile fuel, right into the teeth of the enemy, ejects at the last moment, then watches the fireworks. The craft latches on to the target and burns its entire payload forward in an incandescent cutting beam before melting to sun-hot slag. Naturally, many do not return. Those that do are welcomed back to the fold, honour restored.
