King Pandinus only awakens once every 5000 years. He stays awake at all times until someone defeats him in a RUMBLESLAM match. So far he's been awake for... oh, he's undefeated? I bet he's really hoping for a nap!

King Pandinus is big and part scorpion. Do you really need to know more? Well he's the king of the underworld, and so held in pretty high esteem in Diamond Oasis casino, where he gets pretty much free reign. Including free drinks - nice!

If you're after a Superstar with massive damage potential and great crowd control (I mean, lots of enemy wrestlers rather than the actual crowd), then King Pandinus is your scorpion! His Giant Stinger attack causes Dazed, and if you get a Crowd Pleaser your opponent has to roll 2 dice and suffers -2AP and -2MP if they fail their roll! Add to that Bleeding on all Brawl attacks, and a Turnbuckle Ability that hits everyone in base contact and also Shoves them away and you have a recipe for a killer Superstar. Seriously, he's one of the best in the game.

In Diamond Oasis, there is no end to the fight - even in death these corpses still wrestle! Whether it’s the shambling Shabti or their Withered Master, they are always up for a scrap. Anubti Doorkeepers are powerhouses of undead energy, while the Yeetle calls up the sun itself to hurl at the other team!

The Pyramid Piledrivers are slowly entering the ring! Unless the Withered Master instructs them to get a move on that is. What looks like a perfectly normal team actually plays a little weirdly. They take a fine tuned approach and heavily reward carefully thought out plays.

The WEIGHT 1 category is taken up by two Shabti. Entirely identical in stats since they're reanimated corpses who can't really do anything on their own. The good news is that Shabti are the cheapest wrestlers in the game at 100K each. The bad news is that other than a move that does -1MP, they're slow and basically useless.

That's where the Withered Master comes in. A solid performer in her own right, she works best when commanding others. Able to move the Shabti on her own, and perform her Grapple and Rope abilities through every other wrestler in the team, she can do some serious damage while staying in the comfort of her own corner. Master the Master and you'll be well on your way to victory.

The heavy hitters in the team come in the form of the Anubti Doorkeeper and the massive Yeetle. While the Shabti are some of the worst rookies in the game, the Anubti Doorkeeper is arguably the best. With stats that rival a Superstar, she is going to be feared by your opponents as much as she's loved by you! Meanwhile the Yeetle has an extremely tough outer shell and can literally throw the sun at your enemies!

Berserkers are a ragtag collection of the most crazed, psychotic, homicidal maniacs present in the armies of the most savage of Resistance warlords. Often, they go to war in a drug crazed red haze, intent on nothing but the glorious release of murderous gluttony.

Well, what do you expect from a unit called "Berserkers"? These weirdos are the most elite of the Resistance's assault troops. Although "elite" might not be the right word, since they're not exactly easy to control. Armed with only Vicious Tools, they'll tear right through light infantry in combat, and are very good at dealing with heavy infantry too. Just don't ask them to find any Objectives - they aren't great at that.

Although less well armoured than Warstriders of equivalent size, the Caiman's agility and range can be used to deadly effect by the more subtle of Shaltari Warchiefs, who prefer to annihilate the enemy before having to accept return fire.

A Caiman Heavy Gravtank is the answer to "what if Tomahawk, but bigger?". Armed with either a Gauss Triad or Heavy Microwave Cannon, the Caiman follows the Shaltari adage of "be prepared for literally everything". The Gauss Triad packs the power of 3 Tomahawks, while the Heavy Microwave Cannon ignores all Body and Soft Cover when finding its targets, offering little in the way of defence.

While originally a fairly rare sight on the battlefield, the Crocodile has become much more common since the Battle For Earth. The Heavy Gravtank chassis also is home to the much stranger Alligator Gravcharger, which - through some unknown technology - is able to overcharge nearby anti-grav vehicles to even faster speeds, allowing the Shaltari to always dictate the direction of battle.

The Crocodile doesn't care who you are or what vehicle you're in: it is going to kill you. Its Particle Cannon ignores all Evasion and Passive Countermeasures, meaning there's very little you can do to protect yourself. Just hope for good luck or you'll be a crater. The kit can also be used to build an Alligator Gravcharger. Although completely unarmed, this support unit increases the Move speed and Move & Fire distance of friendly units in a wide area, giving you even more options for annoying your opponents.

The Cyclone Attack Copter is a dedicated attack helicopter, designed solely for dealing swift annihilation to ground targets. Fitted with either Chainguns for light armour or Tornado and Beowulf Missiles for dealing with heavier armour, the Cyclone always makes an impact whenever the leadership deems the situation serious enough to commit them to battle.

They're cool looking helicopters armed to the teeth. What more do you want? With Chainguns you'll be able to rip through a surprisingly large amount of targets (Focus helps to rack up the Energy of the guns). Alternatively give your Cyclones Tornado Missiles and Beowulf Missiles. You get unlimited Indirect Area attacks and 4 powerful Beowulf Missiles to mess with heavy armour. Demolishers (nicknamed after their ability to demolish a building upon entry) are the only remnants of a brutal and savage alien race, long since conquered by the Scourge. In battle they use their strength to lug a pair of heavy weapons and to batter unfortunate enemies to a pulp!

Demolishers are some of the hardest Troops in the game. Although they only come in squads of 2 (six infantry total!), they don't need much more. Tough, Resilient, 4+ Passive Countermeasures, and Armour 9, they are extremely difficult to deal with. Armed with anti-armour Plasma Chargers they can dish out some game-changing damage. Their short ranged Shard Cannons are excellent at clearing out elite enemy squads from Garrisons too, making them extremely versatile core infantry.

The Despoiler is a towering monstrosity, a dreadful harbinger of doom. The arrival of a fleet of Despoilers is always the precursor to a Scourge ground incursion, and the terrible slaughter that inevitably follows.

For Scourge commanders wanting to transport a massive amount of tanks, the Despoiler is the obvious choice. With capacity for 9 Hunters and also 4 Vampires, this is the biggest transport available. With optional Twin Plasma Cannons for dealing with infantry, scenery, or tanks equally, the Despoiler is a must for larger armies!

Of all the Arthropods encountered by the UCM since the Scourge invasion, the Eradicator might be the most bizarre. Clad in reactive camouflage, these hulking walkers can bunker down and hide incredibly effectively. Many a battle has been lost when Eradicators previously entirely undetected have emerged, firing Bio-Mortars and Plasma Fusillades with little chance of retaliation.

If you like your Scourge big and mean and scuttling, the Eradicator is for you. Chameleonic Scales turn the already difficult to hurt Arthropod chassis into something even more hardy, gaining +2 Evasion if it doesn't move. The deadly Bio-Mortar tears apart infantry, and is one of the Scourge's only Indirect weapons. Alternatively you can arm the Eradicator with two Plasma Fusillades, which are incredibly powerful AA firepower. Bunker down and dominate the board!

Time and again combined arms have been a winning formula on the battlefield. The UCM AA team compliments standard legionnaires, upping the defensive capabilities of the infantry, often saving them from bombing runs.

The UCM's combined arms approach is super beneficial in-game. With Flak AA Teams as an Exotic choice, you've got an option for decent (if not ground-breaking) anti-air fire all through your Frontline Battlegroup. Their mobile defensive setup also includes Active Countermeasures, which means they're some of the only Infantry that are protected from long-ranged firepower - even more annoying for your opponent!

Freeriders form the backbone of almost any Resistance recon patrol and utilise extremely fast bikes to zip around battlefields and explore behind enemy lines.

Zoooooom! They're fast, they can come out of a drill, and they're armed with Sticky Mines. Why wouldn't you want Freeriders in your army? Their Machine Guns aren't the best weapon in the game, and they're probably better off staying outside of Garrisons too. But if you speed past an enemy unit, you get to stick a Sticky Mine on them, dealing automatic Energy 9 hits! Zoom and boom!

The M9 Hannibal had been the main battle tank of the prewar armies of humanity for over a quarter of a century before the Scourge invasion. Armed with either a 120mm Punisher Cannon or a HI-EX Hammer Cannon, one is a versatile battle tank, while the other is a deadly siege engine.

The Hannibal is a favourite in Resistance armies, and it's easy to see why. It's touch as nails with 15 Armour and 2 Damage Points, and has a lot of firepower too. A 90mm Cannon can damage any vehicle, and that firepower is doubled (with extra Energy) thanks to the standard 120mm Punisher Cannon. A tank-hunter with few equals! Alternatively arm the Hannibal with a HI-EX Hammer Cannon and see scenery explode thanks to Devastator-4. Although it's dangerously short-ranged, who cares when all that's left is a pile of rubble?

The Intruder is the smallest and fastest of all Scourge dropships and is designed to ferry a range of lighter cargo to the battlefield. It is armed with the same deadly plasma hose as the Marauder, making a large group of Intruders a particularly dangerous foe.

As far as transporting elite units goes, the Intruder is one of the best around. Extremely fast, and surprisingly well-armed, it's a must in most Scourge armies. This set allows you to make either the Intruder Light Troopship or the Intruder Light Dropship, using optional parts. The Troopship ferries infantry around (it's great for Eviscerators), while the Dropship carries smaller Drone walkers and even the Despot Suppression Walker.

The Jaguar is perhaps the most iconic, and certainly the most distinctive of all Shaltari vehicles. It is a towering yet graceful tripod walker over 30 feet in height, bristling with advanced weaponry.

Synonymous with Shaltari, the Jaguar is the epitome of walker design. Scuttling on three legs (it's practical, honest), this massive unit is the equal of three main battle tanks. Armed with Twin Ion Cannons on top, it will be extremely annoying to enemy aircraft. The sides can be armed with either Twin Gauss Cannons for armour piercing abilities, or Twin Heavy Bio-Atomisers to deal with entrenched infantry.
